Our Members
Some of our members have dogs. Some have cats. Some members are older. Some are younger. Some members live in Ohio. Some live in Kentucky. What we all have in common is a spiritual relationship to God and we are learning more about it every day. We think this is true for every person who walks through our doors.
Our church members are a welcoming, vibrant, close-knit community. We are not a mega church and we are okay with it. We offer everyone who walks through our doors friendship and acceptance. In return, we do not ask that you commit time or tithes, although if you feel led to do so, we won’t object. We hope you are a spiritual seeker looking to discover more about your relationship with God and we welcome you no matter where you are on your spiritual journey.
Our Services
Our church holds weekly Sunday services and Wednesday testimony meetings. Both services last for about an hour. We meet in our sanctuary and have plenty of off-street parking available. If stairs are a concern for you, we have an outside lift available for use at the front entrance.
If you are unable to attend in person, we also offer a Conference Call option. Please click on the Conference Call link for more details.
Our members are welcoming and are happy you have decided to join us.
Sunday Services – 10:30 am
Sunday Services begin at 10:30 am. Our Sunday service includes music, singing, the Lord’s Prayer and two lay Readers conduct our services using the King James Version of the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
Instead of a pastor, these two books are relied upon for guidance and inspiration. The Sunday service citations from the two books are provided at every service. Alternatively, the citations can be purchased at our church before and after each Sunday service in a monthly or quarterly Bible Lesson format.
Sunday School and Children’s Room – 10:30 am
Sunday school for young people up to the age of 20 and a Children’s Room for infants and toddlers are available every week. Sunday School is taught by church members who are experienced Christian Scientists.
Students are taught about an All-Loving, Father-Mother God who is All and is all good. Students are also taught about their spiritual relationship to God based on the teachings of Christ Jesus.
Wednesday Testimony Meetings – 7:30 pm
Wednesday Testimony Meetings begin at 7:30 pm. These meetings include hymns, prayer, and readings from the King James Version of the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.
Each week’s scriptural selections spiritually consider concerns in our community and nation. During the last half of the meeting, congregants are given the opportunity to share how their relationship with God and their study of Christian Science has brought about healing through prayer.
